metamorphoses is pir8-x's first full-length studio album.
It can very generally be categorized as electronica, ranging in
tone from crazy violent to creepy moody to just plain trippy danceable.
( The disc is mostly instrumental: only two of the tracks are actually
songs. )
But enough of our descriptions; here is the word on the street:
"I'm listening to your CD right now and thought I'd drop
you a line to say thanks and how much I'm digging it. Really
interesting textures, great modern feel to it, but not just hip
for its own sake. You seem like a guy straddling the abyss between
the past and the future. ( I hope that makes sense - it's
a complement. ) Some of it makes me think of Philip Glass
if he had an ear for interesting timbres and rhythms. ( OK I guess
that means it doesn't sound anything like Philip Glass. ) Anyway
I'm inspired to run screaming from the world of email to my home
studio and make something. Keep up the good work."

"Buddy - just listened to your CD. This is fucking
amazing - No shit - it's amazing. One second you're doing
Crystal Method, then some NiN, then you're on a Seal tip.
Totally flippin' amazin'. Serious - I'm happy to have met
you @ my NXNE gig. Your production style, voice, lyrics...damn
you're a triple threat buddy. [...] This CD is so not coming out
of my player."

"Yo [pir8-x's secret identity], I checked out the CDs.
I love the P1x8 ( or whatever it's called ). Wolf and the one before
Inertia [Whacked] are phat."
- Gary Blaize, urban hipster
